- The week and weekend courses are designed
to cover every aspect of the making of pottery, with special
emphasis on throwing pots from a lump of clay (usually stoneware)
through all the stages of throwing, pulling handles and spouts,
turning and modelling to the final finished glazed and fired
pot.
- Each student has his own equipment and seated
kick wheel, but instructions will also be given in hand building
by slab and coil as well as press moulding and decorating.
- We only take small numbers of students as
this allows for individual attention to be given in an informal
way.
- At the end of the week your five best pots
will be chosen which will be fired and glazed for you.
The only extra charge is made to cover post and packing or
if you wish you can take your pots away free of charge and
fire them yourselves.
